Commemorative D-Day 80th Anniversary Plaque

Select from 2 sizes of laser-engraved plaques detailing the historical points of history from D-Day. Each beach is commemorated with a sealed glass vial of sand taken from that beach, with insignia commemorating the divisions in the first wave.

Sizes:

SMALL:
9" x 13", and depicts the 5 landing beaches and the general route of the three airborne divisions, imposed on map of Normandy.

LARGE:
28" x 17", and depicts the major landing beaches and zones for the 9 divisions in the first waves, plus the Rangers at Omaha and Pointe du Hoc.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Small Plaques ship free at this price; For large plaques, a shipping quote will be provided to finalize the price before the order is accepted and produced. This is due to size and glass content. Your price will be adjusted to the most competitive rate available. Your cost will be reduced by the shipping cost of a small plaque as well.

Photo/Personal Option:
An optional area "south" of the 101st's path, is available to attach a photo under polycarbonate and/or engraving a personal message for an additional fee. This can be a tribute to a D-Day notable, a relative, or a D-Day unit.

Location/Sample Details:

The Large plaque is 27" x 17", and depicts the major landing beaches and zones for the 8 divisions in the first waves, plus the Rangers at Omaha and Pointe du Hoc. The lead regiments of each division unit are marked north of the beaches, or near a parachute/glider marker for the airborne drop and landing zones.

Each of the landing beaches have a vial of sand from the respective beach, and a vial of crushed rock from Pointe du Hoc (2d Rangers) and Pegasus Bridge (British 6th Airborne) near those sites. A representative rock sample from Drop Zones Oscar (82d Airborne) and Delta (101st Airborne) complete the set.
